the price is right baby! damn straight, if you had OG Tom's magneisum racing rims from back in the day like 1984, complete right down to the coveted center caps, set that is all straight!! these are original collector items here!!
yup! i am pretty up there with my Toyota History lessons..
Damn, that's a nice AE86.. painted in the style of the SR5?!? Hahaha, crap I missed the Toyota Nations meeting today. My AE86 is bye bye. I am waiting for a 20 valve motor conversion. The head is cracked and there's no point trying to repair that old sh** 4A-GE! Damn, what the heck?!? I should have bought a S13! This sucks! Okay, I'm complaining too much, but I've spent so much on maintaince already and now what!?! A cracked head?
Who wants to buy my dead AE86?
Yo Andrew, those Tom's rims are freakin' NICE! I want them... Actually I want another car. I fed up with mine. I'm putting no more money into the car until I have enough for an engine swap.
Hey, nice pic!! Andrew, you are a funny fella!
Good mini meet today. Good meeting a few new members. The old school Corollas were well represented.
Tim aka Veilside MKIV, your ride is definitely SICK!! Definitely will take best Toyota at any show you enter. So let me know so I can leave my ride at home. I was good meeting you and chatting with you.

Oh yeah, Phi, I don't appreciate your snot comment, BIATCH. Just because I publicly admit in my signature that my car is all show no go, it doesn't mean its fair game for you guys.
Tim's Supra is the real deal. Show, go, woh!

look worst case scenario do this - meet up with nick, and leave the car at his place for a bit.. we could try to work on the head ourselves.. and that way learn a bit about the car too.. i am sure he has an extra head lying around.. if not, Jan the owner of that white ae86 would have one for sure..
but a 20v swap is not gonna be cheap.. however.. start saving.. good luck! you COULD tho build up the head with a decent set of camshafts.. gears, etc.. and then you got something equivalent to kenneths car..
sit on it for a bit.. i know this must be making the most COMPLETELY wrong impression on your parents about these older toyotas!!

just a question... do you plan on driving your camry during the unforgiving winters here in canada ?
thanks.
I'm afraid the answer is yes. However, it won't be seeing any snow, or salt. I'm not buying winter tires for my car. During the week, I can drive my parent's ES300. On the weekend, I can get my GF to chauffeur me around.
Maybe next year, after I pay off some of my damn student loans, I can get a beater. I'm not concerned about the initial purchase, but it's the insurance and maintenance that gets expensive.

Thanks, but I'm still unsure what to do with the car. I'll be keeping it parked in my garage for the time being. Ack, these old cars are frustating to maintain.
That realy sux that you engine went like that sh** happends i guess.Hope you keep it and swap that engine in there.Well if you sell tell me i might be interested.
these old corolla's are and can be quite finicky.. like mine.. i am sure if i wasn;t mechanically inclined i would have trashed it around 6 months ago.. it is only because i stuck through it.. and just drove the car until with what i was satisfied with..
only now that i have the time I have had the chance to put some decent effort into my car that i can actually get it done.. and from the meet, you can see it "somewhat" pays off..
all i can say is if you have the time.. it is time to pick up some lego and start familierizing yourself.. that is what a car is.. just got to take apart and fit back together..
