Track Events Earlybird 2002 Special

I’m going to help arrange some track events this year. These events will start this late March or early April. Since the time of the first event has not been selected yet, those of you who know for sure that they will participate will have the option of taking the “Earlybird Special”, and pay only $65 (Canadian) and pre-register with me. After Monday, March 4, the price will be $85 till the end of the month, $100 after March 4, and $120 if you pay at the event. Basically, the more people we get pre-registered, the bigger the venue or track configuration we can possibly have and the longer we can run on the track.

Last year it was pretty laid back and casual. It was a smaller group so it was great to get to know everyone, and check out each other’s cars. Almost nothing could stop you from taking as many laps as your gas tank, tires and brakes can hold. This year will stay the same, but look to find everyone’s skills improving, as well and see the difference new hardware installed over the winter make.

elegantcam, Ratko... yeah man... Camry's are cool..everyone is invited to just at elast try it out...

Lafora, you should just take your car on the track, as long as everything is in good order, it's best to learn to drive a stock GTS on the track frist.

this year i don't think i will see too much trak time....at least not till late summer.

the car is going under full reconstruction...new suspension, roll cage, and new engine and carbs (and if i'm lucky, new drivetrain)...so money pending, we'll see if i can go...if anything, i'll come up and watch.

Yo Jover! How long will these meets be going on for? I was reading some of the above posts and it said there might be some in the summer.
I decided that I'm going to rebuild my AE86. I figured why not? Now I can make my Corolla GT-S the way I would have wanted it if I bought it new back in the 80's. So I don't know how long it will take but I hope it will be done by the summer. Looks like I'll be paying $100 or $120 but I'm not complaining.
