If your in the 17's and NOT living in Calif. you've got other issues to ammend even being N/A. You should start by getting rid of the huge box in the back and the 18" wheels and you might be surprised at what your xB is capable.

My best unrecorded time at this point has been 16.5/16.6 Now NO its not super fast and i'm not saying it is supposed to be. I know quite a few Civic owners with all the same bolt ons or better that are still in the 17.1/17.3 area. driver error? most likely. Poor setup? even more likely. Supercharged? should be at least 15.8 maybe even better. if not than for the Tag on it TRD should be doing more for the dollar. Personally you could jump it from 10.5:1 to 11.1:1 and get a few more out of it but that'll proll net you a about 3-5 more hp. The Celica GTS motor 00/+ is said to bolt in with minor modification. now your starting off with 180 @ the fly rather than the Stock 108@ hp and 105 ft lbs of torque. Like i said its not ment to be a fast car with its current platform motor but if your an Underdog kinda guy and your easily amused or impressed with small things doing decent to good things. the stokie 1.5 is not bad to play with. Problem is, it'll never fill the shoes of many of the quicker Civic brethern of the import world.
I think theres a boosted RS 1.0 Lava orange running a 14.6 on air ride and full of tvs around my area... so its claimed anyhow. And the reason why theres not a huge demand for swaps is two reasons. One difficulty in dealing with OBD IIb engine management. Two, Scions got everyone believing that all a scion is good for is gas milage and enough pretty little neon lighting to make a chinese strip club look bad... (NO insult intended)
