Amount of roof rack weight?

Hi,
I'm thinking about purchasing the Xb and want to transport 2 kayaks on top. I did not see anything in the specs about how much weight the dealer rack/car roof can hold. A poster in this forum thought 250 lbs; a dealer I spoke with today said 50 lbs. Anyone have the definitive word?
Thanks,
Colin
