Cool Looking for tail light covers

Does anyone know where I can get black out lense covers for my taillights? I just want the ones that go over or snap on to the original ones. I dont want to replace the original ones.

RE: Black headlight and tailight lense covers

Na really? shoot! I saw one just like mine the other day, same color, different rims, and it caught my attention because I noticed that it had ground effects kit on it then I noticed the front headlights and the back taillights looked like they had black lense covers over them. It looked sharp.. I want to add the spoiler over the back window, and I am for sure getting that ground effects kit. I want that lowered look without actually lowering it.

Okay next question..

If I can not buy them pre-made for my ride what would I have to do to actually achieve that look? Would it be permanent? I'm in California is there any laws against having blackout lense covers.

Thank you for taking the time to read and reply I appreciate any advice and suggestions.

I'm not sure about CA laws reguarding the coloring of lenses but what you probably saw was a blacked out lens.

VHT makes a product called nightshades and it is permanant as it's a translucent paint basically.

The one thing you having to take into account for the lowered look is how much wheel gap our cars have. If you add ground effects and don't lower the car, it will look like a car with ground effects. the rear wheel well gap is pretty crazy on 2G's

So right now I'm sitting on some Low Profile 40 Series 225/40 ZR18 on Golden Brand Rims and my front tires rub when I am trying to make a sharp or U turn. What would you suggest?? I really love the way that scion I seen the other day was just so low to the ground. It was just so clean.

and as far as the black out lense covers if I decided to go with the transparent ones would people still be able to see my headlights and taillights at night??

Hey there,
I did some research on the NightShade you mentioned and I think I will buy a can of the nightshade and a can of the clear coat and try it out there is alot of good reviews on the product. Can you tell me how to remove the headlights and tailights and how to prep them? Thank you.

XB2 taillights aren't smooth enough to be tinted and window tint on the outside of a car? not a great idea. It will start to peal and look like crap within a year.
