USA Scion XB questions

I drove one, liked it and just have to find a leasing dealership - questions I have are - how reliable are they (i drive a chevy monte carlo)? are they good in the snow? does the car scrape against things on the road because of its low clearance....?

Oh - everyone I know thinks Im high to even consider it...oddly enough, Im attracted to the thing like a bug to a zapper...

its a Toyota, so it should be reliable like most Toyotas, right?

im not sure about in snow, but the xB has a traction control botton that you can turn off when you are in the snow.

so far, my xB havent scrape anything yet. i went over a bump that is about 3 inches high, nothing happen if you dont go fast to go over a bump.

good luck in getting the xB

Stock the come with 6" of ground clearence. That's plenty. Even lowered 2" I don't have a problem with snow.

They come with TRACtion control and VSC (Stability control) as well as ABS. The tires leave something to be desired IMO, but as a package, you would be hard pressed to find a better car for the snow. And, unlike what the previous post suggests, you don't want to turn off trac in the snow. That's like clipping your wings to fly.

Reliability should not be a concern. Out of thousands of people on the various forums I go on to I can think of only a couple people that got lemons. It's based on a the echo and has been in japan for many years, so it's not like you're getting a first or second year, ground up, new car. They're very good cars.

I agree totally. I have had my Xb since june last year and over that time I've already tacked 16,000 miles on my Scion. It has been just awesome to me. Like the common theme here, Toyotas are extremely reliable. If you like the design that pretty much the only hurdle you have to go through. *yes the tracion control is great, Ohio weather sucks* Good luck with your car shopping!!

USA

the snow was my main worry living in new england and all -

that and the whole going from a V6 chevy but the XB seems to have good acceleration. I was looking npreviously at SUVs and 4x4 trucks but like a bug to a zapper, im oddly into the toaster.
