XB Dash/Speedometer Rattle not Radio

My dash rattles by the speedometer 85% of the time. If I apply downward pressure to it (the speedometer moves just slightly down), it stops.

Usually happens on first drive of the day. Usually between speeds of 55 & 61mph and goes away. Also sometimes occurs at higher rpm going from 2nd to 3rd, and from 3rd to 4th. Not the others.
Taken to the dealership 3 times....no tsb on that dash rattle yet....they only have some for a trunk rattle, windshield wiper rattle and a radio dash rattle so far.

This also occured in both the auto and the manual that I test drove.

Well, as an update....I spoke with the service manager several times last week. I told him I was sick of driving to the dealership and that they should've fixed the problem the first time instead of giving it back to me w/out doing any work.

I got them to come to my house w/a rent a car and they took the car and kept it for four days. They had one of thier mechanics drive it back and forth to work a few times and he was able to replicate the rattle I was hearing near the speedometer.

The problem has been fixed. They took apart the entire dash and lined it w/felt....they also lined the speedometer casing and by the glass of it. Problem solved...perfect.

There is no TSB on this rattle....not for the 04 or 05 scions.....many other scion message boards have had persons saying there was....I and several others at the dealership have researched this.

Because of this they were hesitant to do any work but they did it because they were sick of me bringing the car back and complaining.......you do what you got to do.....I'm happy my car doesn't sound like a bee hive anymore.
