Angry Gas filling problems on Xa??

Anyone out there have problems filling thier tanks with gas? In California, our pumps use a vapor recovery boot over the gas nozzle and the damn things keep clicking off (as it were full), before fully filling the tank. You can turn the nozzle any which way, on any pump, at any station, and it doesn't make a difference.

I have the same problem with my 2006 Xa...no one at Toyota offers me an answer. It sucks. I can usually only fill up to 10.5 gallons --that's after driving with the gas tank flashing for about 30-40 miles.

That's normal. Even when any car is completely out of gas, there will still be a gallon or so in the bottom that can't be reached. The tank on the xA is 11.9 gallons, and you were almost completely out of gas, so that sounds right.

Good to know you can still go 30 miles+ with it blinking-I fill up the minute I see it blink (which I've only seen twice, I believe).
