Remove Scion xA Deck

Hey all, new member here and been browsing around and very impressed with the information! Hoping you could help me with something.

I'm looking to swap out my stock Scion deck with a Pioneer DEH-7600MP from Crutchfields since they include free wiring harness and bracket as well as detailed installation instructions. Oh yah, and free shipping! However, they aren't including the factory stock deck removal tool and when I inspected last night on my Scion xA last night, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to remove it. I asked around, and some people said I would have to remove part of my dash to get the deck out.

Anyone have any experience in removing a stock deck out of the Scion xA? Once it's removed, I know how to install the new deck. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I have removed the radio in my tC, and I would assume that the mounting is the same in your car. All you have to do is remove the trim piece on your dash around the radio. After that, there are 4 bolts that hold in the factory radio. Should be two nuts on studs at the top and then 2 screws in the lower area of the deck. I am not sure if they are the same, but since the decks fit in each car, I would assume that they are very similar.

The decks are the same if not similar, however, the setup is different so accessing the bolts are actually different.

Thanks though.
