Scion Xa A/C

I consider buying a scion xa but I have read too many complaints about the A/C. I was wondering if they have had that problem fixed yet?

my xB a/c works fine. if its not satisfying, you can always take back to the dealers if its still under warranty.

I just made my first road trip with my xB and it worked great and it was definitely hot outside.
I am assuming that the xa and xb would use the same ac....

I just went out and test drove an Xa today. Its a neat little car. The AC was cold but wasn't freezing cold. But it was cold enough for this 94 degree weather. I just hope it'll do the same when the temp is 100+. The engine when accelerating is quite loud. The suspension is kind of rough also. It wasn't a smooth ride but I'm pretty used to driving a lowered car that bounces around. Last complaint is trunk space. haha I never knew it was only that big. 4 bags of grocery sounds about right for it. But overall, I'm gonna try to get this car in about 3-6 months after I spend some time saving. Anything I should know before I get this car? I know there are 3 free oil changes. Sunroof installation cost $1100 which is a no no for me. Cruise control is at $385. Thats all the info I have for now.

well, the reason the a/c isnt that freezing cold is because the car is only 1.5L car. my dad's Avalon and my friend's '89 Camry blows freezing cold air. as for the loudness out of the engine, its normal because Scion cars are made for youth drivers. Toyota thinks youth drivers likes loud exhaust, stiff suspension, etc. my brother love my xB's suspension when he takes it into the tight turns. my brother said that it almost has the same stiffness as his '85 Corolla GT-S. if you're not statisfy about the a/c and the noise in the xA, the Scion tC is the one for you... good luck!

I think I'll stick with the Xa. It was my first time driving a scion. I was just a lil shocked to hear the engine since I rarely hear anything off any of the toyotas. It doesn't bother me since I drive a very loud car. As for the AC, its cold enough. Wish it was a lil colder but its cold enough. As for the suspension. It was pretty good at taking turns but just bumpy when I hit a tiny lil bump. The salesperson look like he was about to fall off his seat. and trust me, when it comes to bumpy rides. haha Xa would be more affordable as compared to the TC. Gas mileage is also a major issue so I think the Xa is a perfect match. The seats are comfortable. thanks for the info.
