Question New scion tC Owner with a grill question

I just drove my new tC home. Im looking at all thing things i would like to do in the future. The one cosmetic thing i would like is to get a grill for it. I really like the woven mesh grill on the special edition 2.0 at the dealership. I cant seem to find an aftermarket place that sells one like that. Is there one or am i out of luck? Thank you for the help in advance.

From the date of this post, I'm not sure if you'll even get this...but given the deafening silence of the response, I figured it couldn't hurt to offer something, even at this late date...

Try this site (if you haven't already discovered it on your own):

I've always liked the tC, but we're out of luck on the Scion brand here in Canada...

they're all over ebay. VRD makes a nice one.

Mine is custom... I cut a lower grill to fit the top.

hey i actually bought a grill. i got mine from a company called grillcraft. they based in cali and i bought it online and man i am soo happy i bought it. I always get double takes when my car drives by b/c its the only scion in baton rouge with this grill. it gives the car a very mean aggressive look. i reccomend an injen CAI too to match the look with some aggressive sound from the engine. i forget how much it costs, but shouldn't be more then 300. i have pics but dunno how to post them on here, lol

Personally, I'm a fan of the grille from the '07 Release Series 3.0 - I'm going with something in the same vein for my car.

Don't mind me - just living vicariously through you guys, since I don't have a tC of my own...

Before you make that decision on the R.S. series grilles, make sure you check out the price tag first. If you can find aftermarket then your golden.

Just for reference on price, the RS1.0 upper grille is around $1400 and the lower is about $700 from Toyota.

Wow - those prices seem unreasonable, especially considering that the original 2005 tC Release Series 1.0 package cost just under $1800, including the grille and upgraded 18" wheels...

Like you said, aftermarket is definitely the way to go - I have several JDM grille options for my car that run in the $350-400 range.

ok finally got my pics up on here. this is the grillecraft mesh looking type of grille. it will put u back about 300 bux but i find it to be really good quality(judging from the strength of the grille..u can tell its good when u have it in ur hands) and has a nice shine to it when your out in the sun. in these pics the sun is behind my house so the shine of the grille came out a little dull. it's not chrome however...check it out.

thats the site i got it from. Its actually cheaper then i remembered. only 150bux. And yes it comes with all parts and everything comes in wrapped good. the instructions they give u in the box are not the great so i highly reccomend u go the grillecrafts website b/c they have more detailed instructions there. Everything does fit like it is supposed to as well. Only tricky part is marking the spot where u need to drill holes in your bumper. so take your time installing it and check your markings!

besides that the install is easy. u would be surprised how easy that bumper comes off, lol. I think it took me like an hour or so to do it, but u do need a power drill!

oo and the chicks dig the grille...seriously. i get told that i always have the better scion b/c of the grille and the mean look it gives the car. oo and get an injen CAI too. i have mine converted to ram air but it backs up the mean look with a badass sound from the engine.
