Cool Is the AC in Scion TC powerful?

I am planning on buying a Scion TC in a month and went for a test drive in Southern California. It was around 90 degrees outside and the AC did not seem to be that powerful. The blast of air did not come out strongly even when put on full power. I know it takes time to cool the air when you first start the car, but the amount of air coming out did not seem enough. Is this something comman in all Scions or do you think it was just that particular TC?

I will be moving to Austin where it gets extremely hot in summer, and I need to make sure the AC won't create problems later.

Yes, but no. Its as icy cold as any toyota ice box ac but due to all the glass (i.e. big front windshield, large hatch and all glass panoramic roof) it's weak but still its way good compared to other cars. If you hit the recirculation button it kicks it up another notch over full fan ac.
I usually go full fan ac, fresh air and crack the sunroof, then it cools down pretty quick.

I find that it takes a while to really cool down, and in the summer here its near impossible to actually get the car cool with all the glass. If your air is running a little hotter than normal, there was a TSB put out for certain tC's and their air conditioning systems.
