Need Cost effective speed!

I have an '05 Scion Tc and love riding it! I am considering an AEM cold air intake system. What other necessary mods should I consider to maximize the benefits of such an installed component. Any criticisms to my consideration to do this? This seems like the most cost effective mod at a reasonable price. I am not ready to shell out a few thousand for a supercharger now. Thanks!

biggest bang for the bucK? get Nitrous!....a wet kit would probably run you $300 and you can boost about 50 or 80 more Horses...however...i would be cautious..since ur probably running stock internals you could easily blow ur motor if you get trigger happy.....

Before you do NOS you need to work on a few more things!!!! your engine needs to breath!! worry about that before you spray!!! Cold Air Intake, Full Exhaust, Headers, Fuel to Air Ratio monitoring system of some sort, and a new throttle body would help a lot as well. When/ If you decide to run NOS make sure you get colder plugs and check them after every bottle or more if you would like. I have Run NOS is many of my cars and would never even think about hooking it up without doing the above... but its your car and these are only recomendations. i have some of the stuff you would need, PM me if you want. enjoi

I/H/E ... intake, header, exhaust. As far as intakes go I would recomend the Injen CAI. I have the Injen CAI and I'm looking into the ZPI cat back, not too sure on the header tho.

Personally, I would do the suspension first. I have Tein H techs and a TRD sway bar but I'm going to be swapping out the TRD bar for the Hotchkis bar set and I'm waiting for Tokico to put out a good set of HP struts.
