Need some advice

Hows it going fellow scion tc owners, i asked my self were would be the best place to go for some info and tips about getting a scion tc. I found the right spot. Well heres my dellima. My g.f is looking to get a salvage scion tc. She paid 3000 for it but the repairs supposively will cost 2000. She took pictures of the wrecked TC and to my surprise i saw the price they qouted her ridicilous low. Here are the damages i wish i could post the pics but i dont have them. Ill see if she can email me them.

1. Hood needs to be replaced
2. Front end needs to be replaced
3. 4 Broken Mirrors, passenger, windsheild, and rear.
4. Side markers from passenger side.
5. passenger fender pretty bad.

Off the top of my head thats what i saw in the pic. Well question is how much will it cost to repair? I dont think 2000k will fix all that would it?

If nothing on the unibody is damaged, you have two ways to go, you could get some custom fenders, a body kit and a carbon fiber hood for around 1500. That leaves 500 to find mirrors.

If you're looking for OEM replacement panels, let me know. We deal with a company that has locations all throughout the states that supplies body shops with their panels. Body Shops will double the price compaired to what they pay. If you wanted to stay OEM (style-wise) this could be a possible option for you. Same goes for the mirrors....they usually go for around $60....body shop will charge you over $120 before they even spray paint on them....

Hey Never Enough....make sure your 100% clear when you say OEM. If you say OEM it'd better be a TOYOTA product. Now OE replacement is a different story.

Talk to ANY body shop and they'll tell you that OE replacement panels DO NOT even compare to OEM panels for fitment or quality.
Wheelers Express parts and Keystone Automotive are both great OE replacement parts companies for for panels but like I said, you'll notice a difference if you try to install thier parts vs. an OEM panel, esspecially on poly bumpers.

Also...make sure you know your mirrors. Toyota's Mirrors are alrady painted to match the car. For instance, a white tC mirror Lists at $192.83. Wholesale price on the mirror is $144.62. Not all cars are built the same so please watch what you say regarding body piece prices. You don't want to get to generalized.

If you've got pictures of the car....send them to me and I'll throw you a Semi-close to complete list of what you might really need...to the best of my ability.

Re-read what I wrote....OEM (Style-wise). I never said they were genuine Toyota OEM panels. They are actually from Keystone. Excuse a guy for trying to help....

I read the whole post...........

If your looking for OEM panels, call a dealer. If your looking for OE replacement panels (a.k.a. aftermarket), call keystone.
