Performance muffler for tC

Wassup ya'll. I want to put a pretty nice muffler on my tC. However, i don't want to spend the $400 - $600 that I see around the place. I just want to get the muffler, and pay some dude at a muffler shop to fabricate the pipes.

I don't want a cat back, from the rear axle would be fine. I would have to get a same-end muffler since the tC has an akward muffler placement.

I don't really want the fat mufflers that look like coffee cans. I want it to look like "stock". Infact, I just want it to have a 2.5 in tip. But I do want the sound of this:

which will never happen since it's a totally different motor, but I've always loved Flowmasters.

This is probably the only Flowmaster muffler that would mount easier than the rest

I just want to know, have any of you put a fabricated system on your tC? I'd like it to be removeable so that when I have long trips, I can swap the mufflers.

A lot of people have fabricated systems for a tC but if you're looking for something easy to remove and install then the TRD one might be the easiest way to go. If you have one made, your still going to have to find the right flange to mount up to your stock midpipe.

With all the welding your going to have to have done, it might cost less to spend money on a system thats already put together.

dude tc's dont have axle's in the rear... and you will never get that sound. that is a 4.6 mustang sound. your car will sound nice if you thrown a nice jdm exhaust on there like the Greddy DD exhaust, but i doubt you could customize that to fit your car.. but like anything there is one rule that wont buge, you pay for what you get. id save up and get a nice exhaust if you want it to sound good.

^ No axle but its still called an axle-back.

^ You can put any muffler on, its just a matter of adding custom pipe from the end of the mid-pipe to the muffler.

There are also a lot of different cat-backs and axle-backs from co.'s like DC, GReaddy, Injen, Dezod, Draxus, Tsudo, Tanabe, TRD, ZPI, Megan, Magnaflow, Borla, etc... and a lot of those co.'s even make several different styles including OEM style with a slightly larger tip.
