Depends on what you want. I was involved in the development of the TRD exhaust for the tC and I personally believe its sound is the best. (Not a Ricey buzz can) The appearance from behind is awesome with the polished system and the quality is outstanding.
If you're looking for performance gains and like the OE sound, then focus on the submuffler (resonator located in the midpipe just behind the converter.) This is where the system is restrictive and most gains are seen be replacing or eliminating this small muffler.
I personally am getting the ZPI cat-back and adding a big resonator. I like the style a lil better than most the others. Had I not gotten such a great deal on the ZPI I woulda gone with the injen and a custom mid pipe/resonator.

I'm just not a fan of the muffler placement on that kit. As for the sound, I've never heard it so I can't comment.
I've always been a sleeper kinda guy. I liked the quiet, tucked, and hidden look.

So when I chose mine I went with something similar in a single muffler setup. I'm going to make some adjustments to mine tho. Resonator is a must for starters (a BIG one), I'll have a satin finish stainless can and I'd like to bring the tip a little straighter out the back and maybe go with a slightly smaller, single wall, angle cut tip. With the price I got this at tho, I'll still be saving cash over a full custom job even with all my adjustments to the zpi system

I'm also trying to research exhaust system's for my 06' TC. I'm also new to this market so that does not help me much! I want that deep tone, w/o the spitting and gargling sounds that the ricer's have. but not to loud where it would become anoying on long trips. I heard Strup makes a nice system though!
i have a TRD! it sounds nice and not too loud! but i want soemthing a lil bigger! but not a universal! i hate that crooked look! but those DUAL'ies up top look GREAT!
I have it on my tC and it sounds hella mean without being abnoxiously loud. Any aftermarket catback is going to be hella loud on the tC. It's a large displacement 4cyl, so noise is always going to be a problem if you open up the exhaust. I think TRD claims 6whp from their axleback (I couldn't tell you cause I had mine installed before I took it home). Nothing like 15whp, but you don't sacrafice driveability.
Ask Bluemeanie - I gave him an exhaust sampling the other day. All I have is a TRD axleback and Invidia S-pipe, and the s-pipe only deepens the tone at higher rpms. I'm not touching my exhaust anymore, except maybe a header for track days...
