Quick question

I'm thinking about purchasing an 07 tC and I was wondering a couple of things.

When you purchase, will toyota order and install a TRD supercharger and still keep your warauntee in place that you get with the car initially? Or does the installation of a sc void your original warauntee?

Also, I've test driven an auto and it seems quite doggish. Do the 5spd's seem faster?

Thanks,
Kyle

Well, first off the TRD supercharger wont fit the 07. The ECU wont properly reflash because of the difference in the programming and some of the hardware such as the MAF and other sensors, so If you want a TRD Supercharger, jump on an 06 right away because they're not easy to find. .

The next hurdle you'll have to jump through is funding. The TRD Supercharger CAN NOT be financed because it doesn't effect the residual resale value of the car. With or without a Supercharger, Toyota Finanacial will not change the value of the car. You'll have to pay for the Supercharger out of pocket.

The Supercharger DOES NOT void your factory warranty. Since it is a TRD part, the warranty of the Supercharger itself is good either for one full year from the date of purchase, or for the remainder of the factory warranty, whichever is greater.

Automatics will always seem a little slower because your not in charge of it. There's also a little more power loss through an Auto vs. a manual transmission.

Right now for serious power adding componants such as superchargers and turbochargers, even just cold air intakes, there's not much availble for 2007 model tC's because of the changes made. They are subtle and you'll probably not even notice them until you try to add something but they make ECU reprogramming not possible for componants made for 05-06 models.

If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

What exactly are the differences between 05, 06, and 07?

From the outside you'll notice nothing different about the vehicles. the 2005 and 2006 are going to be the same minus the radio that was changed for 06. you've got steering wheel audio controls with the 06 radio.

for 2007, the differences are purely electrical. the evaporitve emissions system has changed and along with it, the major electronics, none of which you will ever notice unless you try to adapt 06 parts to fit.

I know right now they aren't in a hurry to release it. I can't remember if they are working on flashing or not.

Thanks for the answer. Not that it was what I wanted to hear. Im loving my 07 tc but really want more power with out compromising my warranty. I already have the trd exhaust and but I held off on the cold air intake, planning to supercharge it as soon as possible. Any sugestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ollie

More HP and voiding your warranty go hand in hand unfortunatly.
