Supercharger gas mileage?

I just bought a New Scion 2006 and its supercharged, I was wondering if its only took 91 octane fuel or if i could go to 89 octane instead, would it make a difference, or would it harm the car or supercharger? And if anyone knows what the gas mileage would be with the supercharger attached to the engine of the tC that would be great too!!!!

You'll want to use 91 octane fuel as the increased heat from the supercharger's compression will cause detonation if you don't.

I'm sure about your fuel economy but it will probably decrease a mile or two per gallon though I'll leave that answer for someone with a supercharger.

Detonation = bad. Definitely stick with premium only.
Your mileage will decrease naturally just as with any performance engine modifications
