grill replacement

Hello, first thread/post here. I have an 08 tC and the original grill "fell off" - according to my wife - and i purchased a replacement.

Is there any special technique to putting the new grill back in? I tried just pushing it in from the front, but unless i need to get more agressive it doesn't fit that way.

TIA for any help.

How many miles on your tC?

If I remember right, it snaps in from the back of the front bumper.

I guess I should have asked if it's the upper grille or lower grille.

Both can be accessed from behind without having to remove the cover. The lower grille will require the removal of the engine shields that are under the car.

the upper grille is right there and should be pretty easy to access with the hood open.

The upper grill has some screws if I remember correctly and the lower grill can be inserted thru the opening, lined up and pulled back toward you to snap in place. It does pop out easily, not a good design for something that is supposed to block stuff from hitting stuff behind it.
