06 TC can't get HID worked on it..

i just bought a set of 9006 6000K HID conversion kit for my 06 tc...i saw a tag on the kit showing that it is a 35W (light bulb ?or ballast?

They never light up on the tc...but they do on a 2000 honda accord...(that means the kit is in good condition,,,but they just dont work on a tc)
anyone has any clue to it?? just brainstorm, shout out what you think...
how can i solve it?

thanks for answering!

PS i tested them after i went to a toyota service dealer...i will hand it to the dealer again as long as i can get some ideas here...thanks

bought from http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...2342&viewitem==

you might need to remove the 2 pins from the headlight bulb connector and switch them around. Just double check which wire is positive on your Accord and compare it to your Tc.

Does your kit have wires going directly to the battery or do the ballasts feed directly off of the headlamp wire harness?

I'm blocked from ebay here at work so I couldn't see if it did or didn't have the battery wire.

Have you checked your grounds when you ground them on your tC?

To answer HATEnFATE's question, it doesn't look like they are wired directly to the battery.

Toyota's usually have a switched ground instead of a switched power. So what works on a Honda might not on a Toyota. I'll dig around for the wiring diagram I drew up for my Toyota/Denso setup.

What are the grounds???
if the voltage is not sufficient for the ballast, how can I make it sufficient?

HATEnFATE's question is. Does your HID kit comes with a relay wiring kit. If you have a relay wiring kit, it should just work when you plug everything in. I'm thinking you don't have this relay kit and what you need to do is remove the pins from the 2 headlight connector and re-arrange them to the other slot, that's how toyota's headlights are wired. If you have a volt meter or a test light, you can see which wire is positive. The Toyota's ground on your headlight should be white & black wire.

I am not sure if switching the 2 pins will work..
I tried them on my fd's tc, they don't work either....

Slow down and take your time. Rushing thru this is a good way to fry your headlight harness and possibly some other things.

Did you try switching the pins?

I think your first problem is that the ebay auction says the kit is for "SCION XA XB XD TC 9003 H4". The xA and xB and I think the xD all run 9003 H4 dual filament but not the tC. The tC has separate 9005/9006 single filament bulbs. You need to determine if the kit is correct for your car.

Let me know and I will try to help. If you cannot tell what base type your kit has, pictures of the actual kit will help immensely ... at this point I just need to see the bulbs.

If the kit is the correct one for your car you will need to post pics of the entire kit showing all leads as the pic the seller has on his ebay auction is for a plug n' play kit.

btw, please do not double post this topic. Thanks.

That is the correct kit for the tC.

hmm...

Under the black cap in this photo - LINK - is there a fuse? If so check both ballasts, make sure they're not blown.

Also try pushing the pins in this pic - LINK - a little closer together so they make definite contact to the female end on the car. And maybe try using a little electrically conductive grease on them.

Let me know if any of that that works.
