Disconnect the neg terminal on your battery and let it sit for about 10-15 min. Reconnect it and start the car. You should be good to go.

The lag you're feeling is the car going into 'limp mode' which is a programmed protective status the ecu uses when things like airflow dramatically change. The ecu just needs to be reset. Disconnecting the battery will do it.

btw, Welcome to TN!

How long did you leave it disconnected for? Try leaving it for about 30 min so you're sure the system is completely discharged. Rule of thumb is about 5min but I do 15. Usually I unhook it and just leave it off until I need to go somewhere.

You'll need to reset your sunroof and windows when you reset the ecu. Are you familiar with that process? ...if not, I can explain it.

If you are still getting the cel, you're going to need to replace the stock intake and take it to a dealership to have them look at it. Unfortunately the MAF sensor is very fragile in our cars ... its unusually fragile. I broke my first one. Had it replaced under warranty and have been fine since. I remove the new one every time I need to get to the SC's bypass valve and its been fine. I am extremely careful every time I have to touch it.
