Hey guys, my solara is on its last leg and I'm looking into the 2009 TC. I plan on getting the Super White color with the dark interior and a 5 speed manual trans. My question as of now is what are some factory options that you guys reccomend getting? I have an Alpine IDA-X200 Headunit in my Solara right now that I WILL keep, I understand it will work in the TC minus the steering wheel controls, a question that comes to mind is the upgraded pioneer system....what are the specs on it? Can I use it with my ipod and control all of it from the HU directly?

The only thing I don't like about the pioneer upgrade is the face of the unit is VERY easy to get surface scratches on. I'm extremely careful with mine and I've still got scratches. I like the unit itself and am happy I've got it but I wish the surface was a little more resiliant.
Other then that, There's nothing really that you'll need as an option unless something catches your eye.

Thanks for the input. Since the upgraded pioneer system is the only option I'm considering at this time... Is it worth spending the money on when I already have a decent system? Are the stock speakers and tweeters of good quality? And does it have a sub with this upgraded audio package or is that etra too? Thanks and sorry for so many newbie questions.

Nah. If you have a good system that does everything you want it to do and you're willing to replace the interior speakers I wouldn't pay the extra for the premium HU. The only thing you may loose going after market is the steering wheel HU control which only consists of Volume, Tune/Skip and Mode switch.
