08 scion tc turbo help

I just installed a turbonetics kit on my 2008 scion Tc; I am having problems with my car when I go into boost. My car will shut off when it start to hit 1 or 2 psi of boost, and then check engine light comes on. So I took my car to S&R Performance to get it looked at and tuned, they said the check engine light code is p1122 throttle body stuck closed. They don’t know why it’s closing when you are going into boost, and they don’t know how to approach this issue. Is there anybody that may know what the issue is, or that can help.

From what I was to understand, Turbonetics doesn't offer a kit for anything 07 and later...Did they release a kit or did you get one from an older vehicle?

If anything, I would contact Turbonetics about this issue and see if they know anything about it. At least then you'll be able to get an answer from the source instead of us guessing and having you throw money at the car.

Ya the turbo kits were made for 05 and 06 scion tc, turbo kits and other turbo company's had added a aem fic piggy back in stead of the unchip piggy back, and a maf sensor adapter to the kit. this allowed this kit to be run on the 07 and 08 scion tc.

I wonder if your tune isn't taking something into account and the car is jumping into limp mode once it detects the boost.
