I test drove an auto tC today

I was at Novato Toyota wasting some time before a fathersday bbq and low and behold a white tC. Although white is not the tC's most flatering color the car is very attractive in person. I little too high but some new springs and shocks will fix that.

I looked it over and there is a lot more room inside than you would think. I am six feet tall and I fit very comfortably in all the seats. The reclining back seats help out a lot. The interior is very nice and the paper-like plastic interior material is very nice. Its nice in the ways that your arm won't stick to from resting it out the window and it doesn't get hot easily. The stereo sounds just like the ones in the xB and xA, loud. But, on to the driving.

I wanted to drive it eventhough it was an auto. I took it around some fast corners and it stuck nicely. Braking is also great, not spongey at all. Acceleration is good in the auto. You can break the tires loose a little and this baby has some torque. The auto doesn't a sequential shift gate but you can shift up and down through all 4 gears easily using the Tetris-like shifter. Freeway passing is quick also. Just click it into 3rd and the tC moves from 60 to a 100 easily. During some high speed bumpy cornering the steering tends to float, but this can be fixed with some lower springs and bigger anti-sway bars. Overall I am very impressed and I will definately make this my next car.

But what color should I get? I like the Black cherry red, but, its kinda purpley.

Nice to hear another good review for the car....I'm still waiting to see one in-person on a lot. :-(

And yeah, I'm having the same problems picking a color. I'm sure I'll have a fave once I see the car, but so far I like the Black Cherry and the Azure Pearl (the light blue). Granted, I'm not a fan of light blue, but it's not a color I see too often around here and from the pics I've seen it looks more like a silver with a splash of color than just an all out blue, ya' know?
