Retarded "Scion tc Security"...

If you get the scion security system with your tc, do you have to get that retarded all in one key, or can you opt for the normal "extra pad" that 99% of the rest of cars have? I held the key with the 3 buttons on it, and it seems clunky, not to mention I'd think there would be a big risk of accidently pressing in on the buttons when you go to start your car, lol.

That key with the buttons on it is the standard key, security system or not, it does come with a vallet key that has the immobilizer in it as well.

once the key is in the ignition, whether it's turned to ACC or not, none of the buttons will work, so it doesn't matter if u press them or not accidentally while starting the car.

and i think cam2Xrunner is right, all tC's, security or not have that key. not sure if the valet does or not.

valet key, only starts the car. No access to trunk or the glovebox(if keyed). Of course if you dont lock the trunk(trunk lock all the way to the left) the handle still works. Lots of cars have the new all in 1 keys, they are cool. iMO
