Reason I'm asking is today I was beside one and I was in second gear and we both kind of punched it and we were equal for a good couple of second I slammed it into third and we were still theer and then and only then i started to leave him by abit.

I suspect you raced a V8 powered Tundra...the V6 will not keep up with Celica...that said...he's got double the cylinders you do...so he should be able to keep up for a while until his torque runs out and it turns into a horsepower race.

I'll tell you this much, I don't race my CA emissioned Tundra w/ 240 hp peak. There is a third cat on CA tundra's while others only have two and get about 245 hp. I did beat though a stock 2WD silverado with my 4WD tundra.
