05 Tundra hood won't open

I live on Padre Island am on the beach alot. I think the hood latch cable is rusted up. I can't figure out how to get the hood open. Does anybody know a trick to this? I have taken off the skid plate but I just can't see where the latch is or where the cable is routed. Any help would be HUGELY appreciated.

Is there an accessible drawing of the hood latch assembly that someone might know of or have electronically that could be shared? There are some bolts that look like, if removed, might help fix this. I am just concerned about disassembling without knowing what I might affect. Thanks in advance if anyone has a diagram.

Lots of luck, I couldn't see a way of releasing hood w/o some damage to the grille. Darrin
