05 tundra cold shift question
Hi Guys - I'm new to Toyota and to this forum (was a Ford guy - love them diesels!!!). Just got an 05 tundra double cab - only about 500 miles on it. When the morning outdoor temp is below about 25°F, and if I don't let it sit in the yard warmin' up and wastin' gas, it won't shift out of first (L) until I've driven a half mile or more! So I'm getting run down and run over 'cuz I can only get up to about 15-20 mph, while trying to not beat-up on a cold engine. Toyota dealer service and "mother ship" customer service says this is normal - live with it. Any comments? Anybody else have this happen? Replies greatly appreciated! <><
