Just checking to see if any of you guys have had any trouble with an oil leak at the rear main.
I took my 2005 Tundra (V8) in for its first oil change yesterday (4,500 miles). One of the service guys showed me the leak and said that they had some trouble with the 2004's but this was the first 2005 they had seen with this problem. He told me two plates mount together and because there were not any grooves (plates were smooth), they did not seal off which caused oil to seep out. They said that they would unbolt them, "make some grooves" in the plates and put back together. It fixed the 04's. Does this sound right to any of ya'll?
