Toyota exhaust warranty

Anyone know how many months or years the warranty is for Toyota OEM exhaust parts? as I need an exhaust for my 1995 4-Runner and someone mentioned Toyota has lifetime warranty if it's true is it if they install the system or you as well?.

How long do OEM Toyota exhaust parts last in states or provinces where there is humidity from ocean or road salt sprayed in winters to melt snow?.
Reason I ask is I have tried Bosal,Dynomax/Walker and several other brands and all only seem to last 2 years,I am talking about muffler/tailpipes only lasting 2 years usually.

Canada

I just replaced my 98's at the end of winter. I did the cat back, but only the tail section failed on me. Corroded on the exit of the muffler which would have meant muffler as wellas tail pipe. I thought it did pretty good. 300,000 km of abuse.

Can anyone who works at a Toyota dealership find out if what these 3 exhaust parts are made out of:

Front pipe # 17410-35320
Muffler (muffler/tailpipe) # 17430-3D052
Catalytic converter # 18450-35150

by either grabbing them from your parts dept or calling Toyota distribution?.

Any replacement part from a dealer is usually 12 months.

I have a 99 Avalon, & I replaced the muffler with Walker Quiet Flow 3, & regret ever since. I tried to save money Walker $90 vs Dealer $260, buy my Avalon is not quiet as the original anymore. Avalon supposed to be a quiet car. Further Walker muffler developed a leaky rust spot on one of the joints with in a year. Ya.. I am in Canada, but the original muffler lasted 10+ yrs.

Dealer parts are made of better quality Stainless Steel than anyone else out there. Thats how they last so long. Even if the same OEM make parts for open market, they WON'T be the same quality as what was in the vehicle.

No Toyota exhaust systems are not lifetime warranty. They are made out of stainless steel. As in anything, extreme weather conditions add to the breakdown of these items. Salt, snow, cold, moisture, these elements are not good on anything.

As of Aug., 2012, the above statement is wrong. Toyota now guarantees their OEM exhaust systems (parts and labor) for the lifetime of the original vehicle if purchased and installed at a Toyota dealer. Unlimited mileage, unlimited time.

If the OEM exhaust has a lifetime warranty, why would it have to be purchased and installed at a Toyota dealer ? It would have been installed at the factory when the vehicle was built.

Toyota's warranty has always been: two weeks or Tuesday, whichever comes first.

That only covers replacement parts... The original exhaust system is not covered by a lifetime warranty.

Well I purchased the front pipe and muffler from my local dealership 4 years ago and when they arrived they were not stainless steel THEY OUT RIGHT LIED TO ME. Now I need a muffler again. Do you ship to Nova Scotia?, if so how much do you sell that stainless steel muffler for? and how much for shipping?.

I also need a price on:

Back of catalytic converter bracket # 17564-35151= qty:1
Oil filter if you want # 90915-YZZD1= qty:3
Rear wiper blade insert # 85221-16070= qty:2
Catalytic converter bolts # 90105-10388= qty: 4

Also generic donut gaskets, one for front pipe to catalytic converter and other from catalytic converter to muffler= Qty: 1 each two different sizes

Toyota Of Canada I HOPE you are reading this: I will NEVER EVER in my life purchase another Toyota vehicle as your products are over rated rust buckets and money pits. Also alot of parts are not available aftermarket (control arms, fuel line, fuel pump bracket, gas filler pipe, speedometer cable, etc).

Also I have been RIPPED OFF numerous times by O'Reagans Toyota car dealership here in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. And one of those times I filed an official complaint with an MVI government officer and he had a "talk" with them.

My last bad experience was with O'Regans Toyota whom told me REPEATEDLY that the front pipe and muffler for my 1995 Toyota 4-Runner was stainless steel when they knew full well that it was not. I was forced to purchase it as it was special prepaid order for me.

I had owned a 1985 Toyota 4-Runner for 11 years and now a 1995 Toyota 4-Runner for 5 years and I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER TOYOTA PRODUCT. I will also continue telling me about your poor service. I have helped SO MANY people on 4-Runner/pickup dedicated discussion sites and have received help, I have also learned a ton on these two vehicles and have tons of info about them in my computer I guess now I will now have to start the learning and research process on Hyundai's.

I now need another muffler after only 4 years as I was lied to, if the muffler was stainless steel I would not be here posting this.

Anyone have the contact info for Toyota Motor Corp Of Japan?
