How to repair the Power window control switch (drivers side) on a 1987 toyota 4runner

My power window control switch on the drivers side of a 1987 toyota 4 runner is not working. The passenger toggle switch on the drivers side is not working. The drivers side toggle switch works but the passenger side does not.

Any ideas on how to repair this. To replace the switch is going to cost about $240.00 at the dealer. Does any after market parts store sell the switch assembly or can anyone out there help.

Thanks,

holly SH!T we paid like 25 for the parts and installed them are selves. And the new switch cleared the problem up right away. Try to clean them, I know it sounds stupid but my dad did it to our van and they started to work alot better.

Does the window work with the passenger switch?

Is that $240 to have the stealer install the switch?

It is very easy to DIY.

I repaired mine . The contacts will most likely need to be cleaned , and you may have to "bend" the contact bars . On mine because of use , the bars were bent , just a simple adjustment , and cleaning , and I believe they now work better then new .
