spark plug for 99 tacoma
I have a 99 taco (like that by the way) and swapped out the factory plugs during a recent tune up. went to kragens and their computer system recommended a couple plugs, i got the bosch units. upon pulling the 1st plug out i found that they were twin electrode plugs, kragen set me up with single electrode. i then referenced the hood spec sheet only to find they required twin electrode, back to kragens,, hotter than a mexicans lunch i might add. the plugs thier system referenced were all single electrode, so i installed them.
a few hundred miles later i really got on it in 3rd gear and as i pulled through the power band i had a miss/hesitation that i had never had before. the following are my questions;
1. Have any of you found the recommended plugs to be single electrode?
2. If singles were installed have you experenced the cutting out or miss when really getting on the juice?
3. could the single electrode plug cause this miss?
