I have a 1993 Toyota p/u with 124k miles and I was considering replacing it with a new 2004 tacoma when they come out.
Here's the QUESTION.....I have heard something about the Tacoma being redesigned for 2004, and possibly slightly bigger and with more available power. Does anyone have the scoop on this ??????
Thanks....

The only thing I could immagine that Toyota would do with the Tacoma is possibly put the new 4Runners 4.0 litre V6 in it... but I have heard the gas mileage on those engines is horrendous......... but I guess thats a high price to pay for having V8 power! But I dont think they will make it bigger.

you people are the dumbest bunch on earth... no offense. Has ANYONE looked at the quality of the picture... the mere fact that the background is FAKE compromises its realism... On top of that, the roof of this so called "05 tacoma" looks so fake its not funny. You can actually see the tree line that is coppied again and again to cover up the rear doorlines. One more thing, they wouldnt put a license plate on that thing. It is very obviously a photoshop job.

[B]It's an obvious Photochop, but I like it. I would not mind if the Tacoma looked like that. They should offer the 4.0 V6 from the 4Runner as well.

Ya, knowing my luck...Toyota would finally offer some serious power in that V6 ---with the California gas prices over $2.00 a gallon. Screw that, i'll stick with the 4 banger!

The new Tacoma is being redesigned for 2005, not 2004
Wow, way to dig up this thread from the grave. I think most of us know about the design change in 2005 now.
