Thinking of getting a 95 Tacoma

Im a VW guy right now but am seriously thinking of getting into a 95 Tacoma. For off-road purposes and BAD Maine roads.
http://tinyurl.com/amtv the one im interested in or this link:
http://tinyurl.com/amu1 the rest of their inventory.

Now ive owned VW's for 10 years now, so I know nothing about Toyota Tacomas and their quirks. What can you tell me about performance upgrades for this truck? Do's and Dont's? Any good sites?

Any info would be greatley appreciated.
Thanks

tacoma

any engine you get in the tacoma you can supercharge it. If you have about 3500 to throw areound for a v6 or 2800 to throw around for a 4 cylinder, i would say definently supercharger. you probably wont have any more problems with a tocoma than you would any VW youve owned, so reliablility probably isnt an issue. If you want to lift it, make sure you up your gears if you dont want to lose performance too.
