Would like to know if I can u M1-209 oil filter on a 2001 tacoma with a v6 engine?

how did you come across this filter?


I'm pretty sure the M1-102 is what you need.

I googled it and read that people are using it because its bigger and meets the toyota requirements. The Mobil book calls for a M1-102 oil filter for my tacoma and sequoia.

If the M1-209 meets toyota spec has more filter media area and is the same price. I would think it would be a good thing

yep, research reveals that the 209 just has twice the oil capacity(1/2 quart more) , and will fit your tacoma....

bigsteve comes up with the most random questions every now and again..... fun to research. didn't mean that in a bad way.....

Just like you said eyedoc the M1-209 is the same but holds 1/2 qt of oil more.
