'04 Tacoma V6 light knock is....?

I've always owned Hondas. Their engines, by design are very quiet.

I've finally bought an 04 Tacoma 4dr and love it. I have 1600 miles on it.

I have one question before I take it in for an "expert" to listen to it.....:

I have a light knock when the engine is fully warm and at idle ~700 rpm. It is not audible at other times. It's only audible with the windows down, but can be heard with the hood down.

It seems to be from the pass side head cover area. I cannot pinpoint it. Is it:
1. Normal ignitor/coil noise from the 3 shared coils?
2. Normal Injector noise?
3. Hydraulic lifter? or does the V6 have solid lifters that require adjustment similar to Honda.

Can someone critically listen to their truck and feedback?

Thanks, Bob J.

well my 04 only has about 650 miles on it so no noises yet.

But I know it hondas they do start to make some noise when they need a valve adjustment. But usually Hondas don't need then for at least 15,000 miles.

I had same problems with my 01 2.4liter it had 10k miles and started chatterin at me here and there...No its every day thang at 70K. I took it in twice, once at 15k and once at 55k. first time they say ya timing its my timing chain nothings wrong. 2nd time, they say yea your timing chains loose, then someone else says its your timing lifters. I found out the chain was under warranty and the bitch said its under warrant but I cant warranty it for you. WTF kinda shit is that? I had to talk to toyota customer care and nothing still got fixed. But adjust your lifters man thats all I need to do, and maybe replace my timing chain. but Im buying another 2.4 and stroking it to a 2.8 and putting a turbo and keeping motor now I have for backup if I blow it up
