Available mods for a 04 Tacoma

Hi guys just picked up a 04 Tacoma. I realize it will most likely be some time untill we see aftermarket parts for them just yet.

I new to Toyota and seem to be having some trouble finding places that carry aftermarket parts.

Im looking for a performance chip and maybe something that might help with gas mileage.

First, DonM - welcome to the world of Tacos!

For most all intents and purposes, '04 Tacos are the same as '03 Tacos.

I suspect your failure to find goodies has more to do with vendors' tardiness in updating their catalogs / spec's than with any actual shortage of products.

Odds are most anything listed as good for an '03 will be good for your '04...

well first of all what are you lookin' for? What kinda taco is it? mini, prerunner, or 4wd? for gas mileage you might wanna do a deckplate and get an amsoil air filter...check customtacos.com they have answers to both sides of the house...or Tacomaterritory.com for off-road type stuff...hope you don't mind being broke...cuz that's what owning a tacoma is all about...

Yeah it's a 4x4. Dont mind spending a little money.

I have a 10 year 100K warranty so anything as long as it doesnt void the warranty.

hmm...well considering you don't wanna void the warranty...my suggestion is do stuff that's easily reversible and keep your stock parts to switch back in for warranty work...
