Need help removing shifter

Hey guys,2000 Tacoma standard cab. 5 speed 4X4. How does the shifter come out? Got the console, and shifter boot out. . 3rd and 4th gear shift feels funny like it's not going in gear completely. Probably a bushing.
Thanks in advance.

did you try pushing it down and then turning, like how they got the shifter out of the bracket with the 4 bolts?

Not yet. I'll try again this weekend. A friend of mine says the reason the trans jumps out of gear is because part of the bushing is caught in the trans preventing the shifter to move fully. He says a few very hard shifts will crush the bushing and safely pass through the trans. Does this sound ok?
