I have a 1996 Tacoma 4x4 with the 2.7L engine. 3 days ago, it started to run rough then the check engine light starting blinking (Misfire code). I was able to make it home and changed out the plugs, wires, distributor and rotor button. It made no difference at all. Decided I would need to take it to a shop and tried to move it out of my garage and now it will not start at all. Anyone have any experience with what this might be??? Was wondering about injectors but I really do not know how to check them.

I would seem I did in fact have a bad rotor button. When I replaced the distributor cap, I did not plug the wires in the correct order. Once that was fixed problem solved. Runs great after the tune up.
