The other day I was on my way home and I saw a Grey or mild Silver 80's Nissan Skyline on Guelph Line in Burlington. I thought I was seeing things but my brother saw this car last month as well. I remember he was telling me that he saw one but I assumed that it was some car riced up and just said Skyline on it but now I was able to confirm his claims. There is indeed a Skyline in Burlington.
I wonder who owns it. I thought these things were not streetable but I remember some one told me something about how if it was a car that was at least 15 years old it was ok. I really want to find out who owns that car.
I'll see if I can add a picture of that gen Skyline into this post.
You know, if that's the case, we're probably not seeing Skylines here. I believe there was a Sentra coupe of that vintage that looked very similar to that.
I think about a year ago, there was one on ebay that was actually being sold by someone in Alberta (or some other province). I think it had been driving in Canada for a while so I wouldn't be surprised if it made it's way here. But to say they are common, then you're probably not seeing a skyline.

Well the shape is very similar, but thats because at that era, all nissans had a very similar shape on all their cars Ok the size is ofcourse different, but when you look at the cars, you still see a similar appearance.
top-speed is right, if a car that was never available in this market is imported and is 15 years old or more then it can be made street legal. I'm pretty sure it doesn't need to be emissions tested, just certified. The downside is that because its such a rare car insurance companies will rape you, unless there is a car that is very similar under which it may be certified, ie an R31 Skyline may be registered as an Infinity M30.
