Not only is this the newest Super, but it is a never-before-seen casting. And not only is it a never-before-seen casting, but it is none other than the iconic Toyota 2000GT!
The AE86, a 510, Skylines, a Celica, and now the grandaddy of them all, done beautifully. We don't know if this is officially a New Model for 2013, because this casting was actually created for the 2012 Racing line, and was to be part of the final batch of that series that was eventually cancelled. As much of a bummer it is that the batch was cancelled (what other models were scheduled...), we have the supreme silver lining that this casting was finished. Can you tell we are just a bit excited?
What sucks was that if there was the Racing line, we could've seen something like these:
There will be a "regular" model so no sweat if you can't find the Super. If there was a Racing line model, I could imagine it also being very popular like the BRE Datsun 510.
Also, found this pic, so there's another Z on the way next year!
I hear that the Zamac cars are coming too. Some of those look pretty sweet. Score anything lately, D?
I only went to F&S, that's it A. I did see one vendor selling the Zamac cars. I also hear there's a R32 Skyline that has the ZAMAC treatment as well. But I have yet to hit up a WM, because all the ones in our areas are locked down by other collectors. Other than that, haven't really hunted hard.
I've got a guy wanting to trade for my Super TH Ferrari 599XX. I managed to trade for another MM and the hard to find Mars Rover. I just need the Wheldon DW1 and I'm happy with my cars for 2012. I have yet to find any 2013 STHs.
I'm thinking about going back to F&S again...I'm really wanting to get this:
I was able to get the 82 Supra at F&S but the truck is one of the most sought out ones so far for the Hot Ones.
There's a Kmart Hot Wheels Day next month, hopefully you can make it (will be a Saturday morning)
Thinking about getting into HW. I mean, heck, they're cheap enough. Question, how rare is it to find one facing left instead of right? I see almost everyone with the hood facing forward (right), then I spotted a Datsun, all beat up packaging, facing left.

Matchbox cars face left, while Hot Wheels cars face right, at least the mainline cars. I know back in the day, they all face driver side.
