2014 Corvette Revealed

Quote:
After the rear of the 2014 Corvette Stingray was revealed just hours ago, the very first photo of the front of the seventh-generation of America’s sports car has also now hit the net.

Leaked via the above-the-embargo-law site Jalopnik, we now have our first look at the C6.R-style gaping front mouth of the C7 Vette.

What we do know about the 2014 Corvette so far is that it will be powered by a 6.2-liter small block LT1 V8 making roughly 450 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, while manual-transmission models may receive a rev-match function.

And as dramatic a change as the interior is, look for equally major upgrades inside, with leaked details indicating a premium look and feel, with a digital dash with an info display to show track telematics like lap times, G forces, gear selection, and 0-60 times.

It actually is a pretty impressive improvement over the current body style.

Im a die hard vette fan! But to be honest, i know this new c7 will be a love it or hate it thing. Many "old timers" who remember tje older models probably wont like it as much. Personally i think it looks stunning. Big upgrades on the interior are on the way! Cant wait til the 13th!

They should have had round or oval taillights. The Camaro, half-moon looking ones suck!

That's the thing about a legend. Its a double edge sword. While its good not to mess with a good thing its also good to improve and get with the times or else it will be irrelevant. So for hard core fans (exception of few including present company post) can be selfish and want the car to stay the same even though the car is losing sales and interest etc.

I'm a big Vette fan for sure as well! I wouldnt' say hard core but a big fan. Its seems like the first Vette to have lots of refinement at a great value.

I agree. That's one of the Vette's signature stylings. Don't mess with it. Maybe evolve it but keep them round.

I am reserving overall judgement until I see more pics...and especially until I see one in person. But I expect it to have many improvements, but the signature tail lights should have remained round.

So far, I still like the looks of the C6 better.

Not a fan of the LEDs around the headlights either. Cheesy IMO.

^ Gotta agree with you there. The C6 still has the classic lines and actually still looks like a Vette. The front of the C7 looks like the new Dodge Viper a little bit.

They are trying to make the c7 look more exotic which is a big no no. The tail light redesign bugs me. I dont care for the srt viper too much. Great car i bet but just dont like it. Its all a waiting game now for the new vette to debut

Why the angry face? It's a Vette so it should be happy if anything. Not that I'd want a happy face on a Vette either, but I like the older ones without huge mouthed faces better regardless.
