Torque spec

Hello New to TN,
Working on replacing valve cover gaskets on my 3.0L V6 ; 92 Toy Trk.My manual says Torque place at 52 ft/lbs. Lookin at other post should be at 4.4lbs.BTW a Toy mechanic stated it should be hand tight.Can anyone give me the correct answer.Thanx

5.4 lbs ft
most in the manual are stated in inch lbs. Valve covers are very thin and crack easily. I used 5 lbs since I hadn't had my torque wrench calibrated in a long time.

Hey I'm a new member here and I have the parts to replace my valve cover seal on my 4 cyl. 5 spd 92 Toyota Pickup. Do you have any quick tips?

It one of the easiest DIY you can do on the trucks. Just make sure you tag all lines or take a picture. I would also replace the * and rubber grommet ( * forgetting the name of it, it's the one way vent that sits in the middle of the valve cover). It may be good but its cheap to replace and the grommet get old and brittle
