My 1992 Toyota pu, 2.4 cyl. when I attempt to start the truck, I put the key in and it won't turn. If I jiggle it some sometimes it turns and other times it does not. I went to the dealer and had a new key made and that does not help..I sprayed it with some wd40 and that did not help, except for the mess it made. I am not sure what I can do. Is it time to replace the ignition and key? Thanks
 I got the new key, hit the cylender behind the actuall key thingy, and what do you know. It turned and it started just fine. So, maybe that can help someone. I love my little yota with 169000 miles.
I had a 1984 that got so bad I had to replace the ignition. It's easier to do it now while you can at least get the key to turn instead of waiting until it won't turn at all.
