Yeah, limited produstion run, and hard to import. BUT, NHTSA has cleared the 96-98 R33 for importation! (NHTSA-2005 22654), here's a list ( some restrictins apply, void where prohibited) :http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/...LIG010906.html

Well, the redesigned Skyline in Japan is the V35 Skyline, which is sold here as the Infiniti G35. They are working on releasing the GT-R version in mid 07, I think I read, and will be bringing there here as well, under infiniti badging.

To be totally honest, tho, any clean GT-R R34 (M-spec, v-spec, Nur, etc,) would make me happy.

I just don't get it though Rivet. For the money you'd have to spend on any R34, you could buy and build a vastly superior STI, Evo VIII, or Audi RS4. All of which are all-wheel drive, and feature traction-control, stability-control, active torque distribution, and active ABS systems, much like those on the R34 GT-R. And last but not least, their all brand spankin' new!

I mean, I think the Skyline is awesome. But wouldn't any of the cars I just mentioned be a better buy?

Shoes, only the GTR models were AWD, with ALtessaII traction contorl.

F1000X, you mentione some nice rides, really. Especially a lancer Evo VIII, would be nice. But then again, those are all compacts. The Skyline is a full 5 Seater Sedan, and out of the box, you just cannot beat the looks.

And besides, How many Lancers of any kind do yuou see on the road. How many RS4's?

I see at least a few each day.

Now An R34, how many do you see?? I originally fell in love with the cars when I started to Follow the JGTC (now SuperGT) Racing, and the Super Taikyu Racinf Series. The kylines were the most cosistent winner sin the JGTC (in fact it was the JTCC until they started entering R32's, and they had to re-regulate the series to makeit fair).

You bring up valid points rivet, it is full size, and it is damn good looking. I think I'd still opt for an RS4, because I really never see any of those, but owning a Skyline would a be a novelty. Horrible investment though, thats all I was trying to say. They are something though no doubt. If I ever moved to NZ, Australia, or any country where they we're primarily sold, I would buy nothing else until I could afford one. Just not here.
