getting parking brake cable off handle.

I am trying to replace my front parking brake cable for 94 2wd p/u. I took off the switch for parking brake indicator light, and even took off the pulley, but fore the life of me, I can't get cable off the T-handle. Handle is pushed all the way forward, and I stll cna't see the cable end to get it out of the handle. Is there any trick? Thanks.
Dave

I paid about $50 including shipping from www.1sttoyotaparts.com . But how do i take the handle out? Right now I have the pulley out, but the handle only pulls out so far and stops.

For anyone who needs to do this procedure, I ended up removing the 2 bolts above the handle that secure the assembly to the underside of the dash near the ignition switch. I was then able to lower the assembly down enough so I could see the hole in the handle where the cable needed to slip in. This involved twisting the handle extremely clockwise to the point where I thought it would break....but it worked.
