Celica engine drop in 91 Pickup

Could it be possible to drop a Corolla or Celica engine into my 91 pickup? I know that is a rather odd request, but where could I find help with that?

Thanks!

Find the engine code for your engine. The sticker should be located on the under side of the hood twards the front passenger. It should say something like this (3s-fe, 5s-fe, 7m-gte, 2jz-gte) Not saying you will have those particular codes, but thats just what to look for. I don't know jack about trucks, but I know a fair amount about the cars.
BTW To answer your question I doubt a Celica, or Corolla engine would work. Mabey a Gen 3 Supra engine? (7m-gte) 255 stock turboed ponies out of a 3.0 Turbo!

You didn't mention the year Celica you were interested in swapping from. You can probably do it fairly easily if it is a rear drive Celica. In fact, some of the older Celicas had 22RE motors in them. I had one I raped the crank out of for the rebuild of my 1993 4x4. I ended up scrapping the rest. I've also read about the Supra swaps. It does not appear to be a straight swap but it is apparently possible to do.

You would probably be better served rebuilding the 22RE you have in your 1991. At least that's what I'm assuming you have.
