Washer Fluid Pump

Hi there,

so I dont' know what exactly caused it, but i've noticed that whenever the washer fluid level goes down past 2/3 full, it doesn't pump any fluid out of the jets...but when it's full, it pumps normally...

i'm wondering where the pump is in the engine (22re) and how hard it is to replace...

thanks in advance!

-travis

The pump is right under the resovoir. Try removing the resovoir and cleaning it out. One of my jets stopped spraying all together so i blew some compressed air throught it and it worked like a champ.

The washer pump should be mounted on the bottom of the washer jar. Here is a link to show you how to get to it: http://www.autozone.com/shopping/rep...00c15280061054.

However, if it is working, your problem is not the pump itself, it may just need to be clean; either way, the above link will show you how to remove it, just wash the screen and the jar out, that may be the only repair you need to do.

Can you use a pump off a camry? My pump fell apart. When I was at the junkyard they had no pickups but had a camry.

Maybe, most of the time the differences between the pump are their connectors, and the direction of the inlet and outlet. Pull yours off and compare it.
