Aftermarket skid plate?

I'm looking for something lightweight, probably aluminum. I can't find any for our stock pickups. Only lifted and/or tundras and tacomas. Well I found one, but it had a bunch of writing on it and they wanted 250 for it!?!
Something plain and simple would be great!

But on a serious note... does a skid plate help with aerodynamics at all? or is it just so rocks don't Fup the front end wheen wheeling?

I probably won't go offroading. If I do it won't be through much. I'd like to dress it up a little. I normally choose go before show, but I'm not gonna boost this motor til I rebuild it next year.
I've got my nissan for current speed. Well almost, still waiting for the motor to come from Japan.

You're kidding right? I'll take the turbo pistons from the boosted 22r I believe from the late 80s and tweak the cpu a bit. Not much involved really.

You quoted so much that I'm not sure exactly what you want to see, but I imagine you want to see a boosted 22re. Not such a large feat really. You can boost any motor you want as long as you have a turbo manifold. Can any motor handle it though...
The 22re is the most efficient of the 22s so it's probably the best to be boosted.
I missed that you modded my quoted text. It's a convertible 240sx. I'm waiting on a CA18det. That's the last part of my puzzle. I have block back exhaust, 600cc injectors, vpc, t28 ball bearing turbo, afc, and I'm sure a few other things that I'm forgetting.

yeah, these 22re's are the choice to go with. sounds like a fun project!

i willl need to see pics and everything of that convertible 240sx!!!! IM EXCITED! I heard on CA18DET's you gotta push them just to get most of your power.

It is a small motor, so you can't expect much torque, but you can expect to rev to 7500rpm safely on stock internals. Some go to 8500rpm. Problem there is that smaller turbos don't boost up there. The t28 I have will barely keep boost to 7500rpm. With a larger turbo you can keep boost to 8500rpm and the engine should hold up. I say should because it depends on how the engine was maintained. Well maintained = 8500rpm no problem on stock internals.
