Abs???

I think my truck is equipped with rear ABS, but it definitely does not work. Does anyone elses work?

IIRC pre-Taco trucks were never equipped with ABS, what makes you think you have them?

some trucks had them.. it was an option, but personally, rarely seen.

thats from what i know. does it say it on your truck? any ABS selenoids in the engine bay?

I have it on my truck. It works half the time. The light on my dash likes to come on randomly, letting me know that they system is not working. I could get it working again if I wanted to throw money into it. When I talked with my local mechanic about it he told me not to worry about it because the system was sub par at best. It snows a lot over here and when I hit the brakes and start sliding, the system engages but I can hardly tell that it is doing much at all.

I have a fuse for rear ABS

Yep rear ABS was an option, or included in a package. My pickup has rear abs, my 95 base 4runner doesnt.

I think the abs works, the fronts will lock before the rears.
